Technical Project Manager (Remote)

About the role

Clay, a global design and technology agency building digital products and brands for clients such as Slack, Google, Snapchat, Amazon and Coinbase, is hiring a Technical Project Manager for its remote team. The role suits a project manager who enjoys working closely with development teams and is comfortable with the technical side of a project without writing code. It is client-facing first, bridging clients and developers.

Key responsibilities

• Lead client communication and act as a trusted point of contact throughout the project
• Clarify client needs, requirements and expectations
• Work with development teams to understand technical requirements, risks and implementation approaches
• Translate technical information between clients and internal teams
• Identify issues, dependencies and gaps in requirements proactively
• Collaborate with PM, UI/UX, design and development teams to keep projects moving

Required profile

• 3-5+ years of project management experience, preferably in a digital agency, product or web development environment
• Strong technical background or significant experience working closely with development teams, focused on website projects
• Comfortable discussing technical topics with developers and clients
• Located within a maximum 3-hour time difference from Central European Time
• Russian language proficiency and fluent spoken and written English

Required skills

• Understanding of web and product development processes
• Agile, Scrum, Waterfall or other common project management methodologies
• Problem-solving, proactive decision-making and organization across multiple projects
• Client communication, including leading reviews and workshops
