Technical Service Engineer - Aseptic Packaging

About the role

We are looking for a Technical Service Engineer specialized in aseptic packaging equipment. You will travel to customer sites to install, commission, and maintain filling machines and downstream packaging lines, ensuring they operate at peak efficiency and meet quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Perform mechanical and electrical installation, setup, and commissioning of packaging equipment on‑site.
• Conduct Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) and Site Acceptance Tests (SAT) with customers.
• Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic faults, providing urgent repairs to minimise downtime.
• Analyse root causes of failures and propose long‑term corrective actions.
• Carry out scheduled preventive maintenance, replace worn parts, and verify optimal performance.
• Deliver on‑site training to operators and maintenance teams on safe operation and routine upkeep.
• Provide remote technical support via phone, email, or video call.
• Document service activities, log customer feedback, and identify opportunities for spare‑part sales or upgrades.

Required profile

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of field service or maintenance experience with packaging machinery or automation.
• Experience with aseptic packaging equipment and downstream lines is highly preferred.
• Strong problem‑solving abilities and a customer‑first attitude.

Required skills

• Mechanical systems knowledge (motors, gears, conveyors, pneumatics).
• Ability to read electrical schematics and mechanical drawings.
• Proficiency with PLCs (GE, Allen‑Bradley, Rockwell) and HMI troubleshooting.
