VIP Close Protection Officer / Travelling Security

About the role

AHS is seeking a highly professional, discreet and experienced Close Protection Officer / Travelling Security to provide personal security for a high-profile principal during daily activities, private engagements and international travel. The role covers risk assessment, travel security coordination and keeping the principal safe, private and comfortable, and calls for strong situational awareness, judgement and flexibility.

Key responsibilities

• Provide close protection and personal security during daily activities, private engagements and international travel.
• Conduct advance security assessments of destinations, venues, residences, hotels and travel routes.
• Plan and coordinate secure movements, transportation and travel logistics.
• Identify potential threats and put preventive measures in place.
• Maintain situational awareness and respond to security incidents or emergencies.
• Coordinate with local security teams, venue personnel, drivers and authorities when needed.
• Protect the principal's privacy and keep all personal, professional and travel information confidential.
• Monitor changing security conditions and adapt protection arrangements.
• Prepare security briefings, incident reports and risk assessments as required.

Required profile

• Proven experience in close protection, executive protection, travelling security or a comparable personal security role.
• Experience protecting high-net-worth individuals, senior executives or VIPs is highly desirable.
• Relevant close protection or security training and certifications.
• Experience accompanying principals on international travel and working in different security environments.
• Valid driving licence and strong driving skills are an advantage; first aid and emergency medical response training preferred.
• Available for international travel and flexible to changing schedules.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of threat assessment, advance planning, secure movement and emergency response.
• Excellent situational awareness, discretion, communication and decision-making.
• Physically fit, calm under pressure and able to work independently while coordinating with the principal's support team.
