Regional Finance Officer - Moscow

About the role

Etihad Airways is looking for a Moscow-based junior finance professional to provide financial reporting, compliance and business partnering support across its Europe region. The role ensures financial compliance matters are met and risks of penalty exposure are managed, while also challenging the status quo and finding process improvements across accounts payable, accounts receivable, revenue accounting and general ledger.

Key responsibilities

• Support the Manager in meeting financial and tax compliance with regulations and company policies on time.
• Help identify and evaluate financial risks and opportunities in the region.
• Take part in the annual budget cycle.
• Identify and drive process improvements across departments by adopting technology.
• Give financial guidance and advice to department heads and managers, explaining the impact of financial decisions.
• Monitor financial performance against budget and share commentary on variances.
• Support the development of financial and operational KPIs.
• Join projects to improve business processes and efficiencies.
• Manage relationships with key internal and external stakeholders at all levels.

Required profile

• Accountant with 4+ years of post-graduation industry experience.
• Bachelor's degree in finance or related field as a minimum.
• Chartered Accountant or management accounting qualification, or working towards one, is an advantage.
• At least 1 year of finance and tax experience in Europe or North Africa.
• Confident communicator with managers and senior executives.
• No sponsorship available.

Required skills

• Familiarity with SAP, advanced Excel and Power BI.
• SAP experience is an advantage.
