HIL System/Integration Engineer

About the role

We are establishing a dedicated HIL laboratory for our unmanned helicopter projects. The HIL System/Integration Engineer will design, build, and maintain the test infrastructure, ensuring reliable validation of embedded systems.

Key responsibilities

• Design the HIL infrastructure from scratch, analyse device architecture and select the optimal HIL platform (NI, dSPACE, Vector, Speedgoat or custom).
• Prepare technical specifications and procure equipment for the laboratory.
• Assemble and commission the lab: signal wiring, configure test stands, connect I/O boards, set up fault‑insertion simulations and interface with peripheral systems (CAN, UART, SPI, I2C, Ethernet, PWM).
• Operate measurement equipment such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, signal generators and programmable power supplies for signal verification and debugging.
• Maintain stable operation of the stands, update configurations when new boards or devices are added.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience in HIL testing, validation or integration of embedded systems (automotive, aerospace, robotics, industrial automation).
• Hands‑on hardware expertise in building test stands, signal routing, fault simulation and communication protocols.
• Proficiency with at least one HIL platform (National Instruments LabVIEW/VeriStand, dSPACE, Vector CANoe/vHIL, Speedgoat).
• Strong practical knowledge of CAN/CAN FD, UART, SPI, I2C, Ethernet and PWM.
• Comfortable using oscilloscopes, multimeters, signal generators and programmable power supplies.
• English level B2 or higher for documentation and vendor communication.
