Area Manager – Cargo Operations (CIS)

About the role

Etihad Cargo is seeking an experienced Area Manager to oversee cargo warehouse, freighter ramp, and road feeder services across the CIS region. You will lead both internal and external teams to ensure high‑performance service delivery aligned with commercial goals.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain strong relationships with service providers, ramp handlers, GSAs, commercial teams, and airport authorities to guarantee adequate resourcing and on‑time departures.
• Implement best‑practice processes to maximise flight capacity utilisation and reduce un‑loaded tonnes, discrepancies, and off‑loads.
• Allocate resources across stations, managing Etihad Cargo staff to match operational peaks and troughs.
• Oversee Premium Elite, VIP, and SHS shipments to meet FAB targets, Cargo iQ, and eAWB performance metrics.
• Provide operational oversight of GHA ramp interfaces and freighter/charter operations in challenging environments.
• Deploy performance measurement tools and KPIs, identifying improvement areas with internal and external stakeholders.
• Conduct inspections and audits to ensure compliance with safety, security, dangerous‑goods regulations, and Etihad Cargo procedures.
• Coordinate with government authorities for regulatory compliance and smooth cargo processing.
• Lead investigations of cargo‑related safety occurrences, delivering root‑cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Support Regional Cargo Sales and Premium Elite teams through customer engagement at key stations.

Required profile

• 5–7 years of experience in the cargo or logistics market with strong customer knowledge.
• Fluent written and spoken English.
• Strong cargo commercial experience and basic knowledge of GHA/warehouse handling.
